As a First Citizens commercial banker, it’s important to invest in understanding your business, strategies and key objectives. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from California State University at Long Beach with a concentration in Business Administration and Finance. My career includes over 40 years in banking with the majority of that time spent in the Commercial Banking space. My specific focus has been working with clients in the Commercial and Industrial space that are in the growth phase of the business cycle.
My spouse, Cheryl, and I have been married for more than 33 years. Together we are the proud parents of five children and seven grandsons; one is currently serving in the Army National Guard, the eldest, a very talented musician, has been recruited to join the prestigious United States Marine Corps Band with the others still pursuing their education--one attending college in Utah, one in high school, one in Junior High, and two more in elementary school. Cheryl is a designer of children's clothing featured in Classic Sewing Magazine, a global publication.
I am passionate about spending my spare time assisting one of our daughters who is co-founder of a non-profit organization - BrieElen’s dreamscorp.org 5013c - that assists women and children who are victims of domestic violence situations. I also am “Santa” each year for several hundred foster children or when visiting shelters for women and children who are victims of domestic violence situations. The organization also provides gifts for Santa to give the kids. In 2020 being non-touch due to the pandemic, Santa was seated in the back of a truck driven by the Mayor of Corona, Jim Steiner, and driven through 42 miles of streets with elves following in a car delivering candy canes to children and adults who lined the streets waiting for a glimpse. Family and love is important in life – certainly to live it to the fullest.
