Jed Taborski is the Senior Director - Wine Division for First Citizens, a subsidiary of First Citizens Bank (FCB). Jed leads a team of more than 30 financial professionals with an exclusive focus on the wine industry. Jed and his team are responsible for a portfolio of relationships; their expertise and performance drive the overall health, strategy and financial success of the bank’s wine sector.
As an integral member of the US wine community, Jed splits his time between the bank’s California offices in Napa, St. Helena and Santa Rosa. His passions are helping tailor financial strategies and solutions to meet the needs of each client, as well as helping others reach their personal — and professional — potential. Jed is excited to partner with wine industry entrepreneurs and executives to develop financial solutions that help them achieve their aspirations.
Jed has spent 20+ combined years serving FCB and he is the proud recipient of the company’s Core Values and Guiding Principles awards. He joined the bank in 2003 as Credit Analyst and then rose through the individual contributor ranks from Credit Analyst to Vice President. Since, he has held leadership positions as a Deal Team Leader and Managing Director before joining the Loan Administration team as Senior Credit Officer for the Wine Division and Community Development Finance. Jed was asked to come back “home” to be Head of the Wine Division when his predecessor retired, a role that Jed continues in today.
Earlier in Jed’s career he worked in retail banking for Wells Fargo Bank prior to joining First Citizens.
Jed holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Sonoma State University. He is a member of numerous wine industry trade organizations in Napa, Sonoma, Santa Barbara, Paso Robles and the Pacific Northwest, and has completed the University of California, Davis wine executive program. Jed is active in youth sports as a board member and coach with Mark West Youth Baseball Club, as well coaching basketball with the Catholic Youth Organization. He also volunteers for the Redwood Empire Food Bank.
Jed is a native Californian and lives in Sonoma County with his wife, Nicole, their two sons and their dog Bailey. Weekends find him enjoying being “dad” — coaching, cheering on the Steelers and grilling on Sunday afternoons.
