Born and raised in Ecuador, Vivian Bolaños got the chance to visit Texas as an exchange student during high school. Realizing her opportunities would be greater in America, I kept in close contact with her host family and was able to move to the United States, settling in Henderson County in 2000.
I attended law school at the University Estatal of Cuenca in Ecuador. However, when I moved to Hendersonville NC my career had to be different. My career includes 23 years in customer service but 17 of those years are in banking with the majority of that time spent in the Small Business lending space.
My specific focus has been developing relationships with business owners, helping them find financials solutions for their financial growth and in every phase of the business cycle.
Along the way, I have become a committed community advocate and volunteer. I have served as a board member for the United Way of Henderson County, Safelight, Member of the DEI Cohort for The Giving Practice, and currently I serve as a Board Member for Pardee UNC Health Care, Blue Ridge Community College, Foundation for Health and Leadership Innovation and Dogwood Health Trust.
My spouse Hernan Ortega and I have been married for 25 years. We are the proud parents of two daughters Camila and Isabella.
I am passionate about serving my community and trying to connect people to create collaboration and partnerships. I don't have much time to spare but when given the chance I love spending time with my family, visiting new places, traveling, going to concerts and taking long walks when the good weather allows.
